He did it.  Joe has added another rental built on his days off from custom building trailers.  The man eats, sleeps and breaths teardrop trailers (and probably a few nightmares in the mix).  Anyway, as I mentioned in a previous blog, we had a contest at the Dam Gathering to name the new rental.  The only criteria was a Hawaiian theme.  No pictures yet, it is currently rented out, but will snap one for posting next week.

Here are the entries:  Hula Hotel, Sunshine Trailer, Honolulu Honey, Nuki Hut, Aloha Friday, Perfect Choice, Diamondhead Dandy, Hawaiian Flower Power, Tiny Bubbles, The Aloha, Mahalo, Hawaiian Luau, Island Delight, Bam Bam Bubble, Bubble Bee, Hale Hula, The Keikei, The Polynesian Palace, Keikei Mobile were all good names.

We had some runners up that we considered:  Hukilau, The Little Kahuna, Pineapple Express and Can ‘O Paradise.  But the name we chose that fit in with our company name, the Hawaiian theme and a tribute to Linda Martel – CAN ‘EM DANNO.  That’s right, we named a trailer Can ‘em Danno.  Maybe the next one will be McGarrett – what do you think?

Next rental trailer will be a 5×10, but don’t hold your breath, Joe has lots of custom builds to finish and a ’58 Shasta that is beyond over due to complete.  Hey, maybe the 5 wide will also be a Hawaiian theme and we can name it Hawaii 5-O.  Comments?

We just got back from camping in Big Sur with the “Mahalo” and had a most enjoyable time. So easy to tow in the busy traffic. (Between here and Big Sur through the bay area). Have photo… how to post?

Got something to say?
