TEARDROP TRAILERS AVAILABLE TO RENT

  • Chili Pepper – 4’6″ wide x 9′  long teardrop trailer.  Sleeping cabin 54″ wide x 6’2″ length.
  • Can ‘em Danno – 4′ wide x 8′ long teardrop trailer.  Sleeping cabin 46 1/2″ wide  x 6’4″ length.

NEW RENTAL RATES FOR THE 2011 SEASON OF “Vacations in a Can” TEARDROP TRAILERS:

(prices subject to change without notice – reserved rates guaranteed not to change upon receipt of reservation deposit.)

HIGH SEASON – APRIL THROUGH OCTOBER

  • $175 for two nights
  • $80 each additional night
  • 15% discount when book 7 or more consecutive nights

LOW SEASON - NOVEMBER THROUGH MARCH

  • $130 for two nights
  • $60 each additional night
  • 15% discount when book 7 on more consecutive nights

DELIVERY CHARGE TO SELECTED SONOMA COUNTY CAMPGROUNDS:

RESERVATIONS REQUIRED: Requires a credit card number to reserve a teardrop trailer.

Prices listed above are based on “Teardrop Trailer Rental Pick-up” at our Penngrove facility(Located just north of Petaluma, California about a mile East of Hwy 101).  Rental is subject to availability so be sure to book your reservation early as this is a very popular vacation option with lots of demand.

REQUIREMENTS FOR TOWING A TEARDROP TRAILER:  (Locally recommend Campway’s on Santa Rosa Avenue 707-584-4433 or a U-Haul service center). 

  • Class I (rated at 2,000 lbs) or higher hitch installed.
  • 4-pin flat electrical hookup for tail lights or adapter to a 4-pin.
  • Current vehicle insurance. 

    • Don’t have a trailer hitch to hook up to the Teardrop Trailer?  You have three options:

    1.  Borrow a vehicle with a hitch and electrical connector.

    2.  Rent a truck from U-Haul in Santa Rosa with a hitch and electrical connector ($19.95 a day plus mileage).

    3.  You can have the teardrop trailer delivered to any campground, your home (as an extra room for overnight guests) or your office in Sonoma County for an additional charge.  By selecting the “delivery” option, all you have to do is get to your camping location via any means you want and bring your  favorite food and beverages to ensure your comfort while away. We’ll take care of the rest!

    HOW TO RESERVE A TEARDROP TRAILER:

    1. Call 707.228.9944 to make a reservation or email/fax the reservations form (see link below)
    2. Reservations are secured with a credit card number.
    3. You will receive a confirmation packet.
    4. Pick up trailer in Penngrove.
    5. If paying be credit card, the rental amount will processed the morning of departure.
    6. Receive instructions on how to hookup and unhook teardrop trailer
    7. Enjoy the ease of towing the trailer and the honks and thumbs up while pulling the teardrop.
    8. Return the teardrop trailer rental (no need to launder linens and towels or wash the trailer)
    9. Dream of owning your own teardrop trailer while you drive away.

    If Delivered -

    1. First call Vacations in a Can to see the the teardrop trailer is available for the dates requested.
    2. Vacations in a Can will hold the reservation with a credit card number for two days while you reserve a campsite.
    3. Call the campground to make a reservation.
    4. Call Vacations in a Can back to confirmed rental reservation with a credit card number.
    5. Give Vacations in a Can your site number
    6. You will receive confirmation package.
    7. Vacations in a Can will deliver the teardrop trailer at check-in time of the campground.
    8. Enjoy your teardrop experience
    9. Vacations in a Can will pick up the teardrop trailer at check-out time of the campground.
